I wanted to get my teeth straightened mainly for confidence reasons. I lead a lot of meetings and I wanted my teeth to be as presentable as possible. I became obsessed with how my teeth looked. The experience has been fantastic. The SureSmile aligners have been so manageable and they were really discreet. Nobody even noticed I had braces in at all throughout the treatment. The aligners were so easy to integrate into my busy lifestyle. They were simple to put in and take out, they fit easily in my bag and were easy to keep clean. If any of my friends asked me for advice about wanting straight teeth I would say “What are you waiting for?!” The results have been fantastic. The scanning was quick and pain free and everything was explained to me fully at every stage of the process.

My appointments were quick and easy to fit into my working day which was really important for me. The fact that I could see visuals of what my teeth looked like before and what the results and what my smile would look like after the treatment made me really excited to start the journey. I’m so impressed with the final result. It’s has fully changed my face shape and symmetry. It’s not only made me more confident but it’s made me have bigger aspirations and it’s made me feel so much more comfortable in my own skin!

Growing up I was always torn about whether to have braces or not. I was never NHS qualifying for braces growing up. My brother and sister both had them and I always felt a bit left out! Once I got to university I thought to myself right I'm going to sort this out! I could see there were definitely some changes I could make and I went ahead and did it and it was a great journey! For me there were both functional and aesthetic reasons. Aesthetically I knew it was going to make a big difference to my facial profile, I was excited by that, and to get a fuller and whiter smile was also a big factor for me. The SureSmile experience was fantastic! It was very comfortable, nothing was too difficult. Wearing something for 22 hours a day took a while to get used to but once you start wearing them every day and once a week passed it was totally fine and you just integrate it into your daily routine. Take them out when you eat, give your teeth a quick brush and a rinse and then put them back in it wasn't difficult at all.

For me it was an investment in my appearance and my confidence. Using the CBCT scanner allowed me to have an interactive experience. The digital experience and the digital scanning allowed us to work together and being able to visualise and see 'this is what your teeth are going to look like' is an experience I can't explain. We sat there together and at the touch of a button, to be able to see what your teeth are going to look like was just incredible. When I saw the transformation on screen I knew I had made the right decision!I knew it was going to make a big difference to my appearance and functionally they would be less crowded, easier to clean and more aesthetically pleasing. I knew I had made the right choice! It's amazing to be able to see the progress week on week. It's been a lifelong investment and I'm so pleased I did it!

After many years of actually talking about it, I decided to go ahead and get my composite bonding done. I've been talking about it for a long time. I wasn't overly unhappy with my teeth, they could be straighter and they could be whiter. I had just been putting off making them look better but after five or six years of discussions with my friend James, who is also my dentist, I felt now was the right time! A lot of people are having this kind of treatment now. I wasn't entirely sure how the process worked but James explained everything to me in detail. He showed me a mould of the teeth and how they would look. We then had a test run of how it would feel in my mouth and he then began the process of bonding the composite material to the teeth.

He showed me everything at every stage and it felt like a very controlled treatment. I'm not sure exactly how long it took but it couldn't have been more than an hour or two. My teeth were then polished to give a nice gloss finish that natural teeth have. I love the look! I am amazed at how quick the whole process was and the fact that it was pain free was great! I am a bit of a baby when it comes to pain! I love them! Wish I'd done it sooner!
