After selling their original dental practice, James and Mike quickly planned to do it all again. This time was about learning from the past and providing for the future.
A wish list for the ideal practice was soon created:

In the summer of 2016, 351 Harrogate Road came up on the market and the location made complete sense. The process then begun…
The Dentist is now complete and stands proud in its location in Moortown Leeds. The business has teamed up with the world’s best dental brands and products and is a ‘zero compromise’ complete solution for their patients.
The Dentist is a purpose-built facility, designed for the ideal dental experience from start to finish. James and Mike are both parts of the local community, so choosing Moortown as a location was always a simple choice.
The building was designed to blend modern and traditional architecture, representing the working culture that we strive to provide – traditional dentistry done well, with a modern and advanced emphasis. Our waiting lounge is a comfortable and relaxing space, offering a new experience for our patients, with space to work or relax. Much like your own home, there is a space to suit everyone’s taste from a lounge sofa to a breakfast bar, with a choice of coffees and teas, we’re aiming to please!
At The Dentist your patient experience is a priority to us, from the hello and smile at reception to music flowing throughout the practice and the TV screens in the ceilings, we’re here to bring a modern dental experience. We have invested in state of the art equipment to provide only the best level of hygiene and dental care.
Our sterilisation unit operates the newest autoclave technologies and air ventilation systems meeting the highest standards of sterilisation and hygiene; your health and safety are of our utmost importance. Connecting all 3 of our floors by lift, allows everyone to have access to our facilities. The top floor houses our bespoke consultation and photography suite, offering a new first experience. Instead of the traditional consultation in the surgery, we have space to talk and discuss in a relaxed environment. As we fully digitise your smile using the latest scanning & photography to demonstrate and plan the perfect smile, your digital dentistry experience will really come to life.
We are proud to be working closely alongside Vivid Dental Laboratory within the practice building as this provides an unrivalled service to the patient. Our in-house UK renowned ceramist gives an enhanced level of cosmetic and aesthetic delivery in all cases and is second to none!

Fortunately The Dentist spotted these, got me in for a hygiene deep clean (not what you'd call enjoyable, but made as comfortable as possible) and a review is in the diary too. In just two visits, I feel like I've had the best dental treatment in twenty years. And for no more money than two visits to my previous dentists.

I found The Dentist after searching online for quite some time for a dentist I felt I could trust to fix the issues I was left with. That was very hard for me because I've had terrible experiences in the past (like that one) and felt like I wouldn't be able to find one I could trust. I loved the results on their website and decided to take a chance and booked a consultation with Dr. James Taylor.
At the consultation James was able to quickly give me options to fix what was done. It was such a relief considering my previous dentist gave me no options, so I didn't think anything could be done. During this year, James fixed all of the issues I had and now my teeth look even better than they did before which I never thought could be possible. I was absolutely thrilled with the results and I'm so happy I took the chance to come and see him with my issues.
