It is advisable that you remove your dentures at night in order to give your jawbone and gums an opportunity to relax. This is also a good opportunity to give your dentures a thorough cleaning and let them sit in denture solution overnight, which is important for the longevity of your dentures. Dentists recommend that you never wear your dentures for a full 24 hours. If you are travelling, or have a busy social event coming up, try to find a few hours during the day to remove and clean your dentures.
You will need to take some time to get used to doing normal everyday things with your dentures in your mouth. The dental adhesive used to secure them to your gums will work wonders at keeping your dentures in place, but there are certain foods that are best avoided. Sticky, hard candy and gum should be avoided as they may cause a break in the adhesive seal. This may result in your dentures becoming dislodged. You should be fine with most foods, although some foods, like crunchy fruits and vegetables, may need to be cut into smaller pieces before you can eat them.
It’s important to keep your dentures as clean as possible so washing them daily is a must. You can’t brush them with normal toothpaste and a toothbrush due to the different, and sometimes harsh, ingredients found in toothpaste. Use a special brush, specifically for dentures and make sure you soak them overnight in denture cleaning solution.
Dentures are a great long-term solution for those who have lost some or all of their teeth. They are custom made for each individual patient who seeks them so the fit should essentially be perfect. If you feel your dentures have become loose, make an appointment and see your dentist. There may be something wrong with the dentures, which can be fixed. Another reason your dentures may have become loose may be due to bone resorption or shrinking gums. If this happens to you, it may be time to be refitted, or consider an implant retained denture option, please speak to our team for more information on this.
Very minor discomfort is normal when you first start wearing your new dentures, but this should pass within a few days as you become accustomed to your new teeth. Pain levels will also depend on whether or not you have had teeth extracted prior to being fitted with your new dentures. If you are concerned about the pain, or the pain seems to be continuous, see your dentist.

That was very hard for me because I've had terrible experiences in the past (like that one) and felt like I wouldn't be able to find one I could trust. I loved the results on their website and decided to take a chance and booked a consultation with Dr. James Taylor.
At the consultation James was able to quickly give me options to fix what was done. It was such a relief considering my previous dentist gave me no options, so I didn't think anything could be done. During this year, James fixed all of the issues I had and now my teeth look even better than they did before which I never thought could be possible.
