In most cases, you can have your porcelain veneers fitted within two visits to the dentist. The first visit is the longest one and involves an in-depth examination and consultation with your dentist. During this visit, your dentist also prepares your existing teeth for your new porcelain veneers. An impression may be taken of your prepared teeth at this time, or your dentist may use digital scanning to obtain an accurate impression of your teeth. These impressions or scans are then sent to the laboratory so your porcelain veneers can be fabricated. Once they are ready, you will be called in to see your dentist and your veneers can be bonded to your teeth. That’s it. You’re done!
