Your first step to being fitted with a dental implant is the initial consultation with your dentist. During this visit, your dentist will take a 3D scan of your teeth to see where the titanium screw can be fitted. You may start the process that same day or you may be called in for a separate visit, depending on the type of work needed. You will be given a local anaesthetic or, if you are overly anxious, you can be sedated. The implants are surgically inserted into your jaw and a crown or dentures are affixed.
