You will need to take some time to get used to doing normal everyday things with your dentures in your mouth. The dental adhesive used to secure them to your gums will work wonders at keeping your dentures in place, but there are certain foods that are best avoided. Sticky, hard candy and gum should be avoided as they may cause a break in the adhesive seal. This may result in your dentures becoming dislodged. You should be fine with most foods, although some foods, like crunchy fruits and vegetables, may need to be cut into smaller pieces before you can eat them.
